The Nirmal Bhartia School (NiBS) is deeply committed to creating an environment that fosters all-round excellence yet is sensitive to the needs of individual students. The design of the school’s spaces mirrors its collaborative philosophy.  This attention to detail extends to all its communication collateral, which helps reiterate the schools philosophy and its aims to all its stakeholders.

Amplify co-founder Deepa has been associated with NiBS since 2005, when she created a brand new identity for the school. In its early years, most of the communication was built around the print medium. But now in an environmentally responsible way, the school has moved to online communication within the community.  Amplify created a responsive website and the user interface for the parent portal. More recently, a special commemorative microsite has been designed for the school’s 10th year celebrations. It serves as a repository of all the events planned, is updated with images and videos as they take place, and ends with a roadmap for ‘next ten years’.  At the NiBS Young at Art 2015, Amplify crafted a typographic installation, along with a group of students.

The lively colour palette consists of energetic oranges and spirited yellows offset by sober blues. The font is a non-fussy sans serif. The entire effect is welcoming and warm. This distinct approach to design has helped the school’s visual identity transit smoothly from print to digital.
